So this morning, I probably had one of the weirdest dreams to date, which involved freakin' vampires of all things.
Okay, so it started with me & the some of my family being in this old, traditional wooden Malay house for reasons I'm unable to comprehend. Though I'm guessing it was for some sort of overnight trip? Meh. Anyhoo, there were a few other small families there with us doing family things together I guess, & suddenly, there was this creepy-looking dude dressed in black sitting on this throne thing in the main room or whatever. And trust me when I say that the dude is creeeeeeepy. I couldn't recall his face, but if I were to think of some sort of dark, demonic, spirit-like thing, he'd fit the bill.
I lost track of what happened after that because I may have woken myself up for a bit. Then when I zonked off again, the scene switched to a sort of zombie-apocalypse-like zone. There wasn't any destruction around, everything was still pretty normal. Just the atmosphere felt. . . Off. Also, instead of zombies taking over the world, it was vampires.
I don't even know what my subconscious mind was thinking when it came up with that.
So I went exploring a wee bit around the neighbourhood & it was like everyone *who was human that is* was walking on eggshells. Vampires were pretty much everywhere, holding some sort of Vampire Supremacy over the mortals. Literally one wrong move, & immediate punishment is carried out. Dream-me kind of witnessed one of the punishments carried out & heard the rest of it as it went of screen I guess, & believe me when I say I curse my imagination & subconscious mind for even producing that image! WHAT THE BLEEDING HELL?!
Later, I somehow or rather ended up back at the old wooden house except it was somewhat dilapidated & just sad-looking. In there, I found three of my friends, but I can't for the love of all things good remember who they were. Apparently, two of them have already been bitten & turned & we were attempting to hide from their creators or something of the sort. Then I started freaking out because one of my friends was sent to turn me as well. Then whoosh! A couple of other vampires burst into the scene & one of them grabbed me into a headlock & another did the same to my other mortal friend. The vampire holding on to me growled at my vampire friend & told her:
"If you don't turn her, then I'll do it instead. But I might accidentally kill her, who knows?"
Pretty safe to say that I was ridiculously terrified at that point.
Then I woke up. And promptly went back to sleep!!! Freakin' ridiculous.
Once again, the scene changed. Now, I was inside this large-ish shopping mall, but for some reason, I was rushing towards the library/bookstore & once I got there, there was this massive group of people gathered in the store. Then, I met up with some of my old friends & a few Uni friends, & they were distributing these little salt packets among the group. And once I retrieved the packets, I magically knew what to do with them. So I rushed over to the nearest entrance & started pouring the salt in a straight line in front of the entrance because apparently, the magical salt would help ward off the vampires, creating some sort of protective barrier where they are unable to cross or risk being burnt to a crisp. *what the hell, brain?*
So basically, I assisted in lining all the entrances, windows & whatever possible entry route throughout the building while watching those who were attempting to seek shelter scramble into the building. Seriously, it was so chaotic having to yell at these people to "Hurry up! Get in! Get the fuck inside before the fucking things get you! For fuck's sake!!!"
When I went back to the rendezvous point to stock up on the magic salt, we looked out the window & saw this massive shadow fall upon the building. You know that scene in Breaking Dawn where the Volturi were entering the snowy field for the big confrontation? Imagine that, and double/triple the amount, & that was the undead army surrounding the building. There was dead silence, the only sound you could here was our breathing.
Without warning, all the glass windows and doors smashed into smithereens. A few vampires tried to enter the building, but they burnt to ashes. Kind of like in The Deathly Hallows when the death eaters attempted to storm into Hogwarts, but then the magical shield sort of incinerated them, I guess. Somehow or rather, some of the survivors managed to get hold of guns & other weaponry & were prepared for battle. There was this tense moment where we were just waiting for something to happen. Finally. . .
I freakin' woke up again. And couldn't go back to sleep.
So there you have it. The somewhat play-by-play story of my rather ridiculous, awkward, terrifying, & downright bizarre dream. Yup.
Moral of the story : don't play creepy computer games before going to bed. Your brain ends up creating these whacked out scenes in your head that make you end up going, uhhh. . . wait, what?
